Sharon Whims

Sharon Whims was born in Wadsworth, Ohio and reared in St. Clairsville, Ohio. She has lived in East Liverpool since 1982 Sharon earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Ohio University and her Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Science from the University of Dayton. She is a retired teacher, having taught grades K-12 in East Liverpool for 30 years. Sharon was a girl scout leader for 14 years, as well as a girl scout in her youth for 6 years.

Sharon has choreographed for the St. Clairsville Majorettes, as well as the East Liverpool Band Flag line. Most recently, Sharon has worked at First Niagara Pavilion in the guest relations VIP department. You can find Sharon enjoying the concerts while working at The Harv at Mountaineer Casino and Gaming Resort as an usher/ ticket taker during seasonal concerts. She is also a member of the East Liverpool Garden Club.

Sharon has also been an extra in the filming of 2 movies and a series: "A Christmas Tree Miracle", " Concussion" and "The Outsiders". Sharon resides in East Liverpool with her husband, Dave. She has 2 daughters, 2 step-daughters, and one grandson. Her hobbies include kayaking, camping, sewing, crocheting, singing, and traveling, . She has traveled to 4 of the 7 continents.

Even though Sharon is retired, she continues to love being around and interacting with children. She is looking forward to assisting the children of East Liverpool in bringing forth their musical talents to the community of East Liverpool.
