Princess Carolyn comes along, and Mr. Peanutbutter asks her about the reboot of a movie. When Mr. Peanutbutter tries to talk to Pickles she quickly kicks him out. However, Diane says she so tired of squinting and breaks down crying, as Mr. Peanutbutter looks upset, as an implication their marriage has failed. Pickles and Joey then argue about who's at fault. Pickles then says that can only happen if she also sleeps with someone else. When they enter the house, Pickles tries to turn on the lights by yelling Lights On!," but before she can, Mr. Peanutbutter interrupts her and tells her that what hes about to confess is so shameful he can only do it under the cover of shadow. At the party, Mr. Peanutbutter learns that Jessica auditioned for a role in The Mummy with Brendan Fraser and didn't get the part. The sun hits a blimp promoting Secretariat, which has the mirror design BoJack insisted on in Stop the Presses, and it begins to heat up the water and boil the pasta. His high energy, unpredictability, impulsiveness, and inability to actually listen makes him rather exhausting when it comes to relationships, especially here where romance is concerned. They talked for ten minutes about how the government is using their money. He tries to get to her before she can see BoJack but fails. BoJack tries to give her a compliment, but Diane's response is taken the wrong way. He proposes to her in the season finale to avoid admitting he cheated on her by sleeping with Diane. When Diane returns home later that night, Mr. Peanutbutter talks to Diane to apologize for his grand gestures and explains how much he loves her despite having different personalities. They arrive at BoJack's house. Joey then wishes Pickles best of luck with the wedding and that he hopes to have what Pickles has with Mr. Peanutbutter. Around this time, he was married to a woman named Katrina. Mr. Peanutbutter simply says he could use a drink asking if there was a bar nearby. Todd reluctantly agrees. At the desert, an upset Pickles doesn't want to sit on the blanket with Mr. Peanutbutter. Later, at Elefante, Mr. Peanutbutter tells Pickles he needs to talk to her, which upsets her, but she assures him whatever happensshe wont stop loving him. BoJack and Gina film the nude painting scene, however, they have to cut when Mr. Peanutbutter starts shouting "Oohs" and "Aahs" for support. Mr. Peanutbutter remarks that sounds like a hard puzzle. Mr. Peanutbutter thanks the set for supporting him about his mom's death but realizes that his dad is dead too. The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. However, he specifies BoJack should bring it up only if the interview is going well. Princess Carolyn is understandably confused but says that she'll look into getting the film rights. Mr. Peanutbutter tells them they were thicker than thieves, in fact, they were thievesand tells the reporters about the time BoJack and Sarah Lynn broke into his and Diane's home and stole their clothes. Pickles is getting annoyed he keeps bringing up all his ex-wives. Todd and Mr. Peanutbutter don't get quite as much to do in the BoJack Horseman ending as Diane and Princess Carolyn, but this is more indicative of them having their own respective paths. Mr. Peanutbutter finally admits this is true and apologizes to Diane for being dismissive and not really listening to her throughout their relationship in their phone conversation in Angela. However, Todd begins to suggest ideas to Quentin Tarantulino, and is reciprocated due to Tarantulino's eccentricity. Katrina snaps and angrily shouts "I AM NOT HAVING FUN," which interrupts the party. He also informs BoJack he's not nominated for an Oscar. He's dressed as the guy from the first, at the time only, Hangover movie, and Diane is "Baby Bjorn Borg (a cyborg, tennis player Bjrn Borg, and the Baby Bjorn from The Hangover). He also doesn't like baths and gets scared when there are strangers in his yard. When a paparazzo tries to ask Mr. Peanutbutter why he tried to kill himself, Princess Carolyn answers that Mr. Peanutbutter is a sad dog. While playing with his coin sorter, Mr. Peanutbutter says he wishes he can throw his problems in the coin sorter, and have it sorted all out for him. BoJack is deflated, but Mr. Peanutbutter accidentally mentions afterward Todd's desire to not nominate BoJack and ends the conversation by promising him "none of this matters" and leaving. Mr. Peanutbutter reassures him he won't screw it up. Joey then reveals himself to be hanging by a clothes hanger inside the hotel room closet, giving Mr. Peanutbutter an idea. In Higher Love, Mr. Peanutbutter's frustrated accountant Oxnard tells him PB Livin' is bankrupt due to him and Todd going through with terrible business ideas. BoJack tells her he's on the phone, and Diane timidly apologizes and walks away. BoJack tells the production assistant to write all this down. Mr. Peanutbutter decides he isn't cut out to be a tough guy. However, she realizes that she's going to have to talk to Ralph again. As Gina is gasping for breath, Mr. Peanutbutter intervenes. Diane felt pressured to act like she loved parties and socializing and to live up to his "fun" ex-wives, insisting to Mr. Peanutbutter she was having fun when he asked if she was OK. The next morning BoJack wakes up to Mr. Peanutbutter cooking breakfast. Not only is he constantly positive, but he is also a bonehead who has difficulty understanding metaphors or puns. This somehow works, and he ends up working at a Lady FootLocker until he is approached by Princess Carolyn gets him a job for author J.D. Also, the house is filled with spaghetti strainers. He tells her Mr. Peanutbutter is a "Zelda," and he and Diane are "Zos," and that when she realizes that to call him. Mr. Peanutbutter's demeanor is constantly energetic, nice, cheerful, kind, and playful. Bojack gets psyched and sees this as an opportunity to chase Diane. She asks if they can plan the wedding when she comes back and he sadly tells her sure they can as it sounds like a good compromise. Instead, he gets cheered, for keeping them informed. In the same season, he plays Fritz on Philbert, and he begins dating a young female pug named Pickles Aplenty. A year later, BoJack is seen directing a prison production of Hedda Gabler with his inmates. While Mr. Peanutbutter is able to go into great detail while expressing himself to Diane, Diane has trouble doing so. The two layouts on the pool, as it is filled with green Jell-O. Showing he isn't oblivious to how BoJack treats him, he questions why BoJack doesn't like him. Diane then later tells Mr. Peanutbutter that she got the job. Mr. Peanutbutter realizes that they need video evidence of him being tough. In a flashback from 2004, Mr. Peanutbutter exits his closet dressed as a notebook. Later, Mr. Peanutbutter talks to Oxnard about TV show ideas. After Woodchuck says during a press conference that if a state senator was willing to actually petition for an amendment to the constitution that would democratically allow him to bid his governor title on a ski race, then he would accept the challenge. Mr. Peanutbutter proposes a scenario in which Dougs fianc, whom he calls Pickles," doesnt know that he cheated and shes happy not knowing, asking if confessing would just cause additional pain, to which the other people in the room agree with him. When Diane tries to convince him again, Mr. Peanutbutter gets angry at her, questioning if she thinks she knows his brother better than him, and just because she has a bad family doesn't mean everyone else does. When Doctor Champ warns everybody that the event will be starting in five minutes, Mr. Peanutbutter encourages BoJack to hurry so they get good seats. Mr. Peanutbutter says he's really happy for her. BoJack asks if Mr. Peanutbutter is seeing anyone to which Mr. Peanutbutter replies he's busy with his show and wants to focus on himself right now. Mr. Peanutbutter says that he does, and Audrey splashes it on his face instead, and Mr. Peanutbutter tells Donna that he needs a new scarf. Like many of the characters on the show, Diane has had her fair share of hardships and heartache. In The Kidney Stays in the Picture, he sitting at a bar at Elefante when someone off-screen recognizes Mr. Peanutbutter from the "Sad Dog" meme. BoJack then says he can't be there as the paparazzi snap pictures of them. He tells her they'll talk about this when she comes home. After Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane have finished up having sex, as they get dressed Mr. Peanutbutter says he'll talk to Pickles, and tell her he and Diane are getting back together. This causes major changes to the script and film and begins to downplay BoJack's screen time and involvement. Diane suggests that he have a housewarming party. Joey tells her that's exactly right and she totally gets him. They were fighting cats and dogs since they got married, but their fights seemed real. Diane, deep down, is against Mr. Peanutbutter running for Governor, but she still shows support because she knows he won't get enough backers.
